Based on the wishes of the client combined with the possibilities with regard to the renovation and the use of the space, Bob Manders Architecture came up with a unique design in which
the existing villa was given a contemporary new look while preserving the authentic details.
The spacious kitchen is the beating heart of the house. The expertise of Bob Manders and Culimaat was beautifully intertwined in realizing the design of a high-end kitchen with a robust appearance and an optimum level of refinement.

At the rear, the architect designed a unique garden room, which exudes a very pleasant and open atmosphere because of the large glass areas. This creates a beautiful connection with the outdoor area which is only enhanced when the roof is opened, so you are literally in nature. In the heart of the villa is the absolute showpiece of the house: the high-end live in kitchen. Not only does the kitchen fully meet the requirements in terms of appearance, but it is also tailored in detail to the functionality of the user as is showcased in the various walkways and sightlines. Bob: ‘’We involved Culimaat in the process of the design and realization of the kitchen. We often work closely together, share the same passion for the profession and the ambition to set up special projects. We are each other’s equal, as it were, but in a different field. This is very nice, we can complement each other well.”
PERFECTLY SERVED DISH
The sight of the kitchen evokes a sense of admiration. The sleek design and powerful appearance only contribute to this feeling. The cupboard walls run from the inside to the outside, resulting in an end result which is harmonious with its surroundings. ‘’We think it’s important to stay innovative and we draw a lot of inspiration from other cultures,’’ says Bob. “This clearly translates into this kitchen. The design is extremely refined, something you also find in Japanese cuisine, where a lot of attention is payed to ideal taste ratios and dishes that are presented with a great sense of style. This symbolizes the way in which this kitchen was created. Everything fits harmoniously and has been created with great care and precision, almost like a work of art, which is not only aesthetically exceptional, but also has perfect functionality.”
